On Friday, the Association of Indian American Minorities (AIAM), a newly established non-governmental organization, was inaugurated at the Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church in Maryland.
This initiative is dedicated to uniting and enhancing the welfare of minority communities within the Indian American population in the United States.
Prominent Sikh philanthropist Jasdip Singh was appointed as the Founder and Chairman of AIAM, supported by a diverse seven-member Board of Directors representing various Indian minority communities. This board includes Baljinder Singh and Dr. Sukhpal Dhanoa (Sikhs), Pawan Bezwada and Elisha Pulivarti (Christians), Dipak Thakker (Hindu), Juned Qazi (Muslim), and Nissim Reuben (Indian Jewish).
In his address to the audience, AIAM Chairman Jasdip Singh underscored the organizations mission in promoting PM Modis vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047. He stated, Under PM Modis leadership, India has adopted a comprehensive approach, guaranteeing equal opportunities for all citizens, regardless of religion, caste, or sect. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Member of Parliament and convener of the Indian Minorities Federation, praised Indias evolution under PM Modi. He commended the
Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas initiative, asserting that it has eliminated the culture of appeasement and fostered an environment of communal harmony and equal opportunity.
